I have 26 years experience in the flooring trade having been taught the craft by my Grandfather. I created The UK Flooring Academy 2 years ago in order to offer training in carpet fitting to the flooring trade. Since then, we have trained more than two hundred people from across the UK and Ireland, many of whom have started successful businesses or have obtained jobs with existing carpet companies.
While I still sell and fit floor coverings, I enjoy training, and find it very satisfying to know that I have been responsible for creating the opportunity for many people to embark on a new and rewarding career.
